When we read:

We read to the boys every night as part of their homework activities. They know reading is part of homework.

What we like to read:

A few of the boys' favorite books are The Polar Express (Chris Van Allsburg), Biscuit Goes to School and Biscuit's Day at the Farm (A. Capucilli and P. Schories), the Frog and Toad series (Arnold Lobel), and Disney books from movies like The Lion King, Frozen, and The Croods. We also read lots of books that have to do with the seasons, manners and current events.

Why:

The kids love to know why we celebrate holidays and why the seasons change so we read about it. The boys like when Mom reads and becomes overly dramatic about the stories.

Why reading is important:

Reading is part of exploring and building curiosity about life and traveling. We want our boys to love to read and explore things that will make them happy.
