Keshawn Dodds and my daughter, Sydney

When we read:

We read as much as we can, especially on rainy days when we can escape into a good book. Sydney loves to pick up a book and get lost in it. We like to talk about what she reads and also why it was so interesting to her.

What we like to read:

We like to read The Pain and the Great One (Judy Blume), Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (Jeff Kinney), Menzuo in the Calling of the Sun Prince (Keshawn Dodds), Menzuo ~ Solar Warriors series (Keshawn Dodds), Where the Sidewalk Ends (Shel Silverstein), and The Giving Tree (Shel Silverstein).

Why reading is important:

Reading is important because it exposes children and adults to unknown worlds and characters that you grow to love and travel with through their stories. For children, the better readers they become, the more they will enjoy their education. Their vocabulary grows and their imagination expands to greater heights. Reading makes the world a better place.
