Volunteers Wanted for Book Distribution 6/30-7/2!

Talene Jermakian • Jun 25, 2021

10K books already distributed!

I can’t believe it, but in our first week of our big SpringfieldREADS summer reading push, we gave out almost 10,000 books! We couldn't do it without our valued community based volunteers.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED! We are gearing up volunteers for the next big family-focused distribution next week and we would love your continued support!

WEDNESDAY: OUTSIDE, we will be stacking, sorting, and loading books into the trucks to bring them to the Hall of Fame. WE NEED YOU!!! @ Mason Square Library 765 State St, back of building lot.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY: OUTSIDE, distributing books to kids and families with Six Flag characters and others. @ Basketball Hall of Fame, 1000 Hall of Fame Ave in Springfield, UNO's/Hilton side.

We love to honor our volunteers, and will make sure we:

  • Shout you/your organization out on social media on the Reading Success by 4th Grade media pages with custom graphics that you can share to your pages.
  • An opportunity to distribute your promotional materials while you're volunteering.
  • The gratification of getting new books into the hands of young readers!

Please respond ASAP if your organization would like to commit a few hours or a full day of volunteering:
